Pastor Valley K. Woodley
Evangelist
Valley K. Woodley is an exemplary leader who has allowed the Holy
Spirit to guide her in all phases of her life, in her personal life and
in her pastoral accomplishments.
She is a native of Emporia, Virginia. Her parents are the late
Thomas Kelly and Valley Bailey. She is joined in the ministry with her
husband Co-Pastor Lawrence L. Woodley. They are the proud parents of
seven wonderful children and twelve grandchildren.
Pastor Valley K. Woodley graduated from Greensville County High
School, Emporia, Virginia. She furthered her academics through John
Randolph College, Petersburg, Virginia and Southside Virginia Community
College, Alberta, Virginia. She has also taken courses at Berean Light
Bible Institute in Emporia, VA.
Pastor Woodley has been instrumental in serving on various community
boards and she served as a member of the Board of Directors for the
Improvement Association. She also worked for the Greensville County
School Board for 7 years and in the banking industry for 26 years.
Pastor Woodley surrendered the call of God on her life at the age of sixteen.
Pastor Woodley founded the Elnora Jarrell Worship Center in October,
2001 where she has served faithfully as pastor for 16 years. Under her
leadership, EJWC has grown tremendously. She has successfully led the
church in a building project, the operation of a State Certified Child
Care Center and a Licensed Café. Pastor Woodley believes that God’s
people should display His image.
Pastor Woodley takes no credit for her success and accomplishments
for she is often known by the saying “To God be the Glory for the Things
He has done”.
