Pastor Valley K. Woodley

Evangelist Valley K. Woodley is an exemplary leader who has allowed the Holy Spirit to guide her in all phases of her life, in her personal life and in her pastoral accomplishments.

She is a native of Emporia, Virginia. Her parents are the late Thomas Kelly and Valley Bailey. She is joined in the ministry with her husband Co-Pastor Lawrence L. Woodley. They are the proud parents of seven wonderful children and twelve grandchildren.

Pastor Valley K. Woodley graduated from Greensville County High School, Emporia, Virginia. She furthered her academics through John Randolph College, Petersburg, Virginia and Southside Virginia Community College, Alberta, Virginia. She has also taken courses at Berean Light Bible Institute in Emporia, VA.

Pastor Woodley has been instrumental in serving on various community boards and she served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Improvement Association. She also worked for the Greensville County School Board for 7 years and in the banking industry for 26 years.
Pastor Woodley surrendered the call of God on her life at the age of sixteen.

Pastor Woodley founded the Elnora Jarrell Worship Center in October, 2001 where she has served faithfully as pastor for 16 years. Under her leadership, EJWC has grown tremendously. She has successfully led the church in a building project, the operation of a State Certified Child Care Center and a Licensed Café. Pastor Woodley believes that God’s people should display His image.

Pastor Woodley takes no credit for her success and accomplishments for she is often known by the saying “To God be the Glory for the Things He has done”.

Pastor Lawrence L. Woodley

Pastor Lawrence L. Woodley is a native of Greensville County, Virginia. He is the son of Minister Hilda Mae Phipps and the late Robert House. Pastor Woodley is married to Pastor Valley K Woodley. He was educated in the Greensville County school system, graduating  from the Edward W. Wyatt High School. He attended the Southside Virginia Community College where he studied classes to become a Virginia state Certified Master Electrician and HVAC Technician. Pastor Woodley had his own electrical business for more than 30 years. After he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior he became a member of the Church Of The Holy City in the late 1970's where he became a member of the Deacon Board. After many years with that ministry, Pastor Lawrence and Pastor Valley K Woodley founded the Elnora Jarrell Worship Center. He works with the visionary Pastor Valley to create a ministry for all people, and as a result have found favor with God and with man. He is a member of the EJWC All Male Chorus, The Kings Men, Feed More and the Feed America programs. Pastor Woodley uses his numerous mechanical skills to help maintain the EJWC site.

Pastor Richard A. Lewis Jr.

Pastor Richard A. Lewis Jr. is a native of Richmond Va.
He attended George Wythe High school in Richmond, Va. Pastor Lewis is the oldest son of Richard A. Lewis Sr. and Dorothy Mae Lewis. He has three brothers and two sisters. Richard is married to Tonya Lewis, and together they have three daughters and four grandchildren. On December 11, 2008, Richard surrendered his life to Christ, and has continued to serve the Lord with all his heart. At Elnora Jarrell Worship Center Pastor Lewis serves under the great leadership of Sr. Pastor Valley K. Woodley as one of the Associate Pastors. He currently serves in several ministries including, Trustee Board, Baptismal, Transportation, Communion, Grounds, Security, Food Bank, Youth Ministry, Clothes Closet, Prison/Jail Outreach Ministry, and the Sick and Shut-in Ministry at the nursing home. Pastor Lewis also serves with other ministries such as S.W.A.T. Ministry, Men Fellowship & Breakfast at Emanuel Worship Center, Huddle Men Ministry in Richmond, Va., and Rhema Summit at Berean Light Ministries. Pastor Lewis has served in the office of Deacon, Minister, and Elder. Just as he accepted Christ with all his heart, he accepts each office with all his heart with a servant’s attitude. Pastor Lewis currently works at Boar’s Head and has been with the company since 2012. He testifies that God has truly made provision and opportunities of advancement within the company. He currently holds the position of Sr. R&D Food Technologists. Pastor Lewis loves sports, reading, bowling, and mentoring the youth. Pastor Lewis is a willing, hard dedicated worker. One of his favorite scriptures is Colossians 9:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Pastor Lewis’ desire is to impact everybody with encouragement and hope in Christ.
